Microsoft 365
All your favorite apps in a secure, integrated environment.
Microsoft 365 Basics
You may know Microsoft 365 by its old name, Office 365. Good news: Microsoft 365 is the new name of all your favorite Microsoft apps, like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. These are the apps that have been helping organizations of all sizes for the last two decades. Microsoft 365 also includes Outlook Email and Microsoft Teams. The entire Microsoft 365 suite can all be linked with SharePoint and OneDrive for convenient cloud storage.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Microsoft Word is a word-processing app. Use Word for everything from your nephew’s book report to typing board meeting notes and drafting formal communications.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application. Use Excel for calculating budgets, graphing stats, and macro programming. Format and use color fill to make it visually appealing.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a versatile presentation-building application. Use PowerPoint to aid your project pitch, to design a multi-layered flyer, or adapt the tools to build anything else you can think of.
Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint

Microsoft Outlook is more than just email. Outlook provides email, calendars, contacts, and tasks all in one place. It helps you stay productive and connected whether you’re in the office, at home, or on the go.

Microsoft OneDrive allows you to store your files in the cloud safely. OneDrive is a great tool for collaborating in real-time and for maintaining backups of your files. It even has mobile features, like scanning documents and saving them to your drive from your phone.

If you like OneDrive, you’ll love SharePoint. With SharePoint, you can manage your organization’s content to encourage teamwork, organize information, optimize collaboration between individuals and departments.
Teams VoIP Phone System
Take your business communication with you.
VoIP Basics
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol and refers to technologies that allow communication over the Internet. TechHouse offers a cloud-based phone system with Teams VoIP. Using Teams, you can make and receive phone calls from Teams, Outlook, or a mobile device. Microsoft Teams also has advanced features, including call transfer, multilevel auto attendants, and call queues. Teams is a Microsoft product that integrates efficiently with the entire Microsoft 365 product series.
Our Teams VoIP solution will route your calls through the internet, allowing you to use your business communications from anywhere you have internet and help cut down on those costly on-premises PBX phone systems. Teams VoIP is completely scalable, so as you grow, it grows easily with you.
How It Works
Microsoft Teams is accessible on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. You can make and receive calls anywhere you have a connection, making it easy to take your business communication with you. Microsoft Teams allows you to communicate with other users on VoIP systems and with users on POTS (plain old telephone service). Status updates let others know when you’re available, on a call, or out of the office.
Enhance Your Teams Experience
With the prevalence of remote work and hybrid work environments, the need for “call center” style phone service which can be used in-office and at-home has become increasingly common. Microsoft Teams has features that help with this, including call routing, shared voicemail, custom greetings and hold music, and more. Plus, partners like TechHouse can help connect you with Microsoft Teams and the third-party software needed to create a proper “call center” set-up.
Features We Love
TechHouse successfully transitioned to a fully remote work environment over 10 years ago! Microsoft Teams is one of the tools we use to stay connected and collaborate. Some of our favorite Microsoft Teams features are audio conferencing, video recording, and the Microsoft 365 integration. We hope you’ll partner with us for your VoIP solution.

Security Basics
Defend against threats and secure your devices.
Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
ATP refers to security solutions that defend your devices and data against malware and hack-based attacks. ATP comes in two forms, software and managed services. The primary goals of ATP are to (1) detect threats before they breach the system, (2) activate defenses against attacks swiftly, and (3) mitigate threats and respond to breaches. Meeting these goals requires a deep understanding of the data being protected and real-time monitoring of the data. It’s also important that any potential breach alerts provide actionable information. Actionable information allows ATP to work behind the scenes to stop attacks.
Microsoft Threat Protection (MTP)
MTP is Microsoft’s unified defense suite. It’s Microsoft-specific ATP that can detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to potential breaches and sophisticated attacks against Microsoft apps and systems. MTP is essential for organizations that use Microsoft apps. For large organizations, a breach can be especially costly. According to Ponemon Institute’s 2016 Cost of Data Breach Study, there are huge financial impacts to a data breach. The average total cost of losing sensitive corporate or personal information is approximated at $4 billion.
Microsoft Cloud Alert Security (MCAS)
Identify and combat cyber threats across all your cloud services with Microsoft Cloud App Security, a cloud access security broker (CASB) that provides multifunction visibility, control over data travel, and sophisticated analytics. CASBs have become especially important because many people work remotely and rely on the cloud. Remote work and cloud use increase flexibility for employees and IT teams but make it more challenging to keep data secure. CASBs help organizations find the right balance between data accessibility and protection. Read more here.
